Notes:
Thoroughbred. A winner on debut at Fontainebleau in a Flat maiden over 3,000m in September 2023. Sat mid-division before being switched wide to be driven to the front with a furlong to run. Stayed on best to win by just over a length. Korea (2nd) has since joined Willie Mullins after winning at Le Croise-Laroche after this. Bellbird (4th) has moved from Andre Fabre to Donald McCain and has an official rating of 95 after 4 runs over hurdles. Time was 5-seconds slower than the 2nd division of this maiden won by Plumbago.
Adams thoughts: "Not the usual type of horse that this team purchase. It goes without saying that if you make your debut in a 3-year-old maiden in September over 15-furlongs, stamina is going to be your game. Despite the slow early gallop, Riskabahia showed an excellent attitude to come from mid-division under a positive ride from Edde Verhestraeten and it would be a mistake to assume that she has no turn-of-foot at all. Shaped like a filly with plenty more to come and hit the line well to suggest that she will stay a lot further in time".
"The form is nothing out of the ordinary and it should be noted that at the weights, she is very closely matched with the 2nd placed Korea. However, she was a clear best on the day and with several winners over obstacles in her immediate pedigree, she stood out as a possible purchase for a National Hunt yard and she has joined the best in the business. Given her obvious size and scope, coupled with the fact that there are some winning chasers on both sides of her pedigree, a novice hurdle career followed by a switch to mares chases looks her most likely path".
"Is she a festival horse? Well, I'd never want to write off a horse with these connections, but I think that she is more likely to be campaigned against her own sex and she is likely to be a horse for 2026 and beyond rather than graded novice hurdle races this season".
