Once again I must apologize for the short nature of this update from Happy Valley. Alas, in Arc week, there are many different projects going on and so the Racing in Hong Kong has had to take a back seat for now. Below, I have updated todays results to give the speed ratings for the winners and the time comparisons for each race. With several sprints on the card, there is the usual mix of clever rides and hard luck stories from an initial glance at the form. We have a couple of times that dipped below the standard time (taken as the Class 2 Standards for the track), but the fact that both of the Class 5 handicaps at the start of the card ran comparatively fast times would confirm that the ground was at least Good to Firm as it was described. I will also add a small note of self-congratulation as Medic Elite got his head in front today, a horse that was highlighted earlier in the year when he ran a nice figure in a Conghua Barrier Trial. It is worth watching those races as without that study, it would have been impossible to know the level of form he was starting the season in.
