I realize that this isn't strictly related to French Horse Racing. However, as you may have seen on Twitter, I have been collating some data on Willie Mullins' runners in the Novice races at the Cheltenham Festival in the last decade. In fairness some of these runners have been sourced from France and there are some links to some of the French recruits that I have covered over the years in here. I have tried to look for patterns that I think may be useful when assessing how and where one of his horses will run on route to the Festival, looking at where they have their preparation run, how old they are, the jockey bookings, how they began their careers, etc. The individual snapshots of each race are available on my Twitter feed, but I have also shared the set below as a PDF to download if you wish to take a closer look.

An amazing set of Data on the Mullins Novices at Cheltenham, putting the powerhouse stable into some kind of perspective over the past ten years. There are clearly some races which don't feature as strongly at Closutton with their annual army of prospects, namely the Brown Advisory. Grangeclare West appears to be taking the Don Poli route, albeit he's two years older, though Mullins has won this race with an older horse, Rule Supreme, in 2004.
